Gratitude Challenge Day 7

Thank God for:  1. This awesome snack made by my sister.  My late night after work supper. 2. My dog gave birth safely to 5 puppies today. 3. Ah po who is well aware of my whereabouts and even what time I go to bed.  My off days are often booked by her to do this do that.  And she will nag me ask me do this do that.  Even though it can be annoying at times when she nags a lot and often I feel obligated to share my off day with her, but I'm glad she does cause this means she is well and her mind is still very clear.  she is aware when her stuff is finishing and need to stock up.  She still can hand wash her own cloths.  She still can water the plants and pretty much take care of herself.   She often still wana cook a dish for us.  Even though it can be quite troublesome preparing everything for her just the way she wants it, I'm vry glad she still feels like doing something and making things for people. I'm very very thankful for that.  I'm also thankful for my parent

Random #10

Thanks to Xing Khai & Ai Thing for coming back, we made a rare visit (for me) to the beach.  Sunset was breathtaking as usual.  Miri has the most beautiful skies. Before that we went for durian cendol.  Too cute I couldn't resist taking his picture. And with that ends my 3 days off.  Got half of the things on my list done.  Good enough. Ready to work~! ^^

A Baby is a Gift

It's been a while since I've posted a card and entering a challenge.  Hehe.  Anyways, here's an order requested for a couple who is expecting and this is my attempt for a sketch challenge.  May the couple be blessed :)  Retro Sketch RS#132

It's Okay to be Broken

The reno guys took down the garage roof which has been standing for the past 30 years.  Our home kinda looks broken now but its meant for the better.  This picture makes me think of life in general, where everybody has a dark side and is broken in some way, but its okay cuz despite our brokenness, God still loves us unconditionally and eternally and very often we are broken so that we can humbly bring glory to Him.   Love this picture.  Dad was cleaning the debris with a sore swollen leg.  Truly think I have a great dad ^^ On the street, where we live.

Family Tea Time

Brought family to the Ruffles for tea today.  Thankful for off day.  Was trying to decide whether to bring them out for tea and spend some family time or give myself some "me-time" and make some cards.  I can pretty selfish when it comes to time because I kinda need lone time to recharge.  And its not often I get off days so I find it really precious and will think twice who I share it with.  I only can afford to give time to people who matters. I'm glad I did.  Time well spent :)

We were worried seeing a beehive on our mango and decided to smoke it.  This is the first time I've ever seen a fresh one and hold it for myself.  Did a little further cleaning again.  And purposely cleaned this pair of old sofas and washed their covers to make a comfortable sitting place in my craft room. ^^  And had prayer meet.  So thankful for a prayer buddy like her.  We shared and she suggested writing a breakout prayer.  So glad I did it.  Super enjoyed it and recharged.  Looking forward for more  to come :)

Take Life One Cup at a Time

Take life one cup at a time. Today's devotional notes: God loves me in my brokenness.  Having to struggle all my life accepting myself, this is so comforting and assuring to know.   The LORD is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.  Psalm 34:18 NIV  Happy Monday guys!

Down Came our Mango Tree :(

Dad decided to cut down the mango tree and build a bigger roof around the house, mainly as shelter for rain.  Felt rather sad about cutting it down as it has been a part of our home all these years and bears good fruit.  But sometimes need to sacrifice some temporary stuff for more permanent stuff - many a times like our lives, i.e to undergrow some 'pruning' to grow better, or to better prepare for permanent things.  Neways, I'm thankful they didnt cut all the way so it still has a chance to grow back again.  I hope it will bear better fruit in the future.  Also, I'm thankful for a dad who takes good care of the house and our family... always preparing things for us.   Rather admire this Indonesian worker.  He is fast, hardworking, not greedy and doesnt complain at all.  The tree was full of red ants.  It took him many rounds to cut down the whole tree and he did it with very positive attitude.  And when offer coconut drinks, he didn't take it.  He just take t
